Wildwood Weed is a company established by a small group of local legacy growers, some of whom have been growing for market consumption since the early 80s. With the advent of legalization and the subsequent crash of the legacy market, they decided to create a purpose-built facility to continue their craft. Finally, in March of 2023, they were able to start growing.

Initially, the company considered exporting their product like many others, but they ultimately decided they would prefer to have more control over their own sales. Being located right on the border, Saskatchewan was an ideal location for doing business in person. To that end, they created the Highmark brand and got to work.
